Fashion designer form Palestine. Recently graduated from London College of Fashion. My interest in ethical practices and therefore, ethical fashion stems from my personal experiences growing up under Israeli Military Occupation which has made me aware of the inequalities and injustices around the world, from the most subtle to the most obscene.
I am very interested in global fashions and local small scale industries wherein the producers and consumers are usually the same people.
One of the most important things for me when producing and consuming is economic, environmental, and ethical sustainability.
Career history / Company history:
2009-present INAASH (Association for the Development of Palestinian Camps in Lebanon)-Took part in working on new designs and ideas that might be used to improve products and quality.
2010-Present: Bir Zeit University Ethnographic Museum: Curation of exhibition showcasing traditional Palestinian Costume and Amulet collections.
