Brilliant idea Mor. And even better if we can create a link between colleges for student exchange etc .at the same time. One of the girls at Grays won a special trip to Japan through her design. Maybe you could get the Scottish designs into one of your eco-shows.
Hi Mor, last year I collaborated on a Japanese-themed fashion project with Grays Shool of Art, Aberdeen, Scotland - The Four Seasons. I gave them the tartans I designed. and they produced outfits as coats rather than dresses. It was very successful and the Japanese Consul General has organised a special show in October. This years theme will be 'Daughters of the Republic' and Im donating the North Carolina, South Carolina, New Jersey and Indiana State tartans. The brief will hint at Scarlett O'Hara, pioneers of the west, etc.
To keep it sensible on the catwalk I 'll supply pleated tartan skirts tammies scarves etc as I did with The Four Seasons. This is ethically-produced, eco-friendly, sustainable design at its best, but is also uniquely appropriate and has identity. Do you have any advice and are you interested in some form of collaboration?
