About me / About business or organisation:: Throughout 15 years of living and working in Africa I have always been interested in African fashion - and obsessed by buying cloth, beads, sandals etc

Career history / Company history:: I am currently the Director of www.ablechildafrica.org.uk - some of our partner organisations supplement their income by producing items of clothing and accessories

I'm planning a trip around Africa later this year to meet and work with fashion and/or craft producers as a sort of fact-finding mission before I eventually set up my own business. I have been working in production and product development for luxury fashion brands in the UK (currently Burberry) for the past 6 years and I am passionate about finding ways to increase production of fashion in Africa. My plan is to travel and spend some time working with a variety of projects/producers (profit and not-for-profit) to see how everyone is working and how we can work together to make producing fashion in Africa a more viable option for western businesses.
