graduated in 2009 with a postgraduate diploma in creative fashion which had a strong roots based on the ideas of sustainable and ethical design which i am embracing more and more within my other art practices which involve teaching batik abroad

Career history / Company history:

Summers, 1995-Present for Buck’s Rock Camp of Performing and Visual Arts at New Milford, CT, USA Head of Batik Shop, 1997-Present
• 2005, also the camp baker - trained two assistance, serving three times a day for around 550 people, whilst continuing my main teaching duties in Batik
• Taught batik to children, teenagers (and adults in personal time); encouraged students to develop and design original artwork
• Work with a team of up to four
• Coordinated weekly charges; created colour ways; dyed fabrics from already created colour ways; organized shop trips and visiting artists
Pre Retail Administrator - Jan 2002 - June 2005 at Liberty plc in Regent Street, London, WC1
• Began 2 weeks of stock take on the furnishing fabrics floor
• Pre retail, started inventoring incoming stock progressing to jewellery stock - liasing with buyers/ assistant, creating codes, dealing with designers and writing a jewellery manual . At the end, I was point person for ladies/menswear, accessories, lingerie, haberdashery and any other problem/urgent
• Computer literacy - Cims software – creating codes, validating codes, icning, printing tickets, exporting/importing processing, excel, windows and lots of emailing

Freelance Designer -Sept 1995 – present day for Self in London and the North of England
• Designed for private clients, such as up and coming pop bands, professionals, sometimes involving private tuition for pattern cutting and knitwear techniques
