About me / About business or organisation:

I am a freelance sustainable stylist and writer as well as founder and Editor-in-Chief of EF Magazine, an online sustainable fashion publication based in Ottawa, Canada. I am dedicated to promoting sustainable fashion, its designers, supporters, industry players and entrepreneurs, in a variety of ways via EF, freelance writing, styling, creative direction and events.

EF Magazine has become a strong platform for me to launch other projects related to sustainable fashion. Most recently, we are preparing to launch a festival next spring 2014 to promote the Canadian sustainable fashion industry.

Career history / Company history:

EF Magazine was started in 2007 when I was a junior in university. I launched it as a website in 2011 and have a volunteer team of ten contributors. With EF I have acquired valuable writing, editing and styling skills as well as exceptional experience coordinating photo shoots, fashion shows and fundraisers.

Aside from EF, I work full-time as a writer for a non-profit funding agency. This position has helped me hone my copyediting and Adobe design skills for promotional material in online and print.

Recently, I launched a small start-up styling agency called August May Sustainable Styling with a partner. August May is EF's sister company and we plan on expanding the agency into a small shop in the coming year.
