At the IIDA Tailoring Workshop, we believe in producing high-quality products to match the standards of the international market. We train eyes to give attention to intricate detail and we train hands to sew complicated patterns effortlessly.
Career history / Company history:
IIDA was founded by Jochen Tewes, a German engineer, back in 1974; the first vocational training unit started under a small coconut-leaf shed, to train boys from low-income backgrounds in the trade of carpentry.
The dream was to see more of these vocational schools sprout all over the country to give boys and girls who didn't have the option to choose a better education system a fair start in their careers.
Since then, IIDA has grown and multiplied, equipping thousands of young adults in not just a vocational skill, but with life skills and a sense of care and family from their IIDA family.
