Hey Maame,
Just saw your post about the Fashion Diversity event - it's looks really cool! Would love to be involved, I worked as head stylist for www.brightonfrocks.com last month and had a fab time, so if there is any way I can lend my skills to assist Fashion Diversity then do let me know :)
Take care, Hannah

Hi Maame, sure thing. You can do an African themed or European themed show or collection any time. The beauty of this cloth is that it can be used for a full outfit, a skirt or top, patches, accessories or even be printed or sewn on to a t-shirt. Its useful as giving the designer a base to work from.
If you really want to push the boat out you can design a sports collection around arsenal, chelsea, manchester, wimbledon, etc. If you give an e-mail address I'll show the designs.

If you look at the pics on my profile you'll see one called Ghana. Its very similar to one of the cloths in your collection.

Hi Maame!

Im a Fashion Designer by profession and i plan to do my MA in "Design Management for Fashion Industries" from London College of Fashion this fall.
My research will mainly be in Ethical Fashion and Sustainable business practices. I was hoping to build contacts here. Can we be friends?

Hi Maame, what do I do? A variation on the Robin Hood theme of robbing the rich to feed the poor. Not Robbing just providing well-made ethically-produced clothing and accessories which actually have a meaning and diverting a percentage of the profits to create sustainable businesses in Africa and Asia. Profits not 'fair price' for raw materials as in FairTrade. And on a giant scale that may actually make a visible difference in my lifetime. And by providing individual countries with a national symbol help to create awareness and educate the west. Africa is not a country nor an island, but a continent of 52 countries: 52 individual countries, some with many different languages and cultures. One is 3 times the size of France Another has a population 2.5 times that of the UK.

If you have a look at the pics on my profile you'll see fashionwear designed made and even modelled by 'African' refugee/asylum seekers in the UK.

Anyone can join in.
