Profession / role:
Director
Company / organisation:
BoBelle
Website (if you have one):
www.bobelle.co.uk
My primary role in relation to fashion is:
Consumer, Designer, Retailer, Supplier, Tutor
I am looking to discover or buy
Like-minded individuals promoting their gorgeous fairly traded fashion and to help expand the BoBelle London brand.
About me / About business or organisation:
I set up BoBelle, www.bobelle.co.uk, in late 2007 with the vision to supply ethically sourced and hand made fashion accessories. BoBelle London now supplies and designs their accessories, all of which are hand made using the luxurious eel skin leather. Eel skin leather is a by-product of the food industry in Asia where eels are extensively farmed for their meat and the skin is discarded. We have an array of handbags, purses, wallets and more, all of which boast BoBelle's signature deep red faux-suede lining. We want to show that ethical fashion can be luxurious, desirable and affordable.

BoBelle London has had great coverage recently and I have been awarded Fellowship of the Royal Society of Arts, as well as being nominated as an Ambassador for Enterprise UK. Last year I was voted one of the Top 100 Entrepreneurs by Striding Out and this year I have just been featured as one of Red Magazine's Red Hot Women, the Daily Mail's Enterprising Britain campaign example as well as winning the runner up prize for the DediPower Digital Awards.. BoBelle London is growing organically and can be found in over 50 boutiques across the UK and Ireland.

BoBelle London - Fashion with Ethics.
Career history / Company history:
I completed my BSc(Hons) in 2005 and then a Masters in European Business and Spanish at Royal Holloway, University of London. It was during my Masters studying Business Ethics that I became so passionate about fair trade and ethical production. I worked for a year at Monsoon Accessorize Head Office in their Retail Operations department but left at the end of 2007 to progress BoBelle London. BoBelle London has since been featured in huge publications and business magazines, including Red and Drapers, as well as having a concession in Topshop and Our Eco Shop.
