We specailse in designing, making and sourcing fashion and home accessories from around the world using re-cycled and sustainable materials. The makers and companies we buy from are small ethically run producers and often the work is by women which helps to keep them out of poverty.

We have been helping women in Kamala, Uganda who make paperbeads to develop better designs for the jewellery we sell. A percentage of our profit from their sales we donate to a charity, Daniel's Promise, which supports an orphanage in Kampala.

Dear Caroline,

My name is Aline, I work for ABIT - The Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association, which represents the integration of the Brazilian textile chain. In order to help Brazilian companies grow both nationally and internationally, ABIT, with the partnership of APEX-Brasil, Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, created Texbrasil, Brazilian Fashion Industry Export Program, in 2001.

One of our main activities is to promote articulation between international buyers and Brazilian companies, improving our trade relations. International trade agents and/or buyers interested in our products might be invited to come to Brazil, with travelling expenses sponsored by ABIT, so they can get to know more about Brazilian fashion.

I am now responsible for inviting international buyers to a ethical fashion event that is coming up next November in Brasília, Brazil. It will be a great opportunity for the world to see the innovative combinations of design with traditional techniques, great natural beauties with technological tools and preservation of the environment with social work.
.
Please, let me know if you are interested and I will send you more information.

My e-mail address is aline@abit.org.br

Regards.

Aline
