Apoorva is a Fashion designer from New Delhi, who moved to London in 2011 to pursue her vision of a creating a fashion label that creates value - beauty, benefit & good.
From the start of her design career in 2007, she has created seasonal collections for various European high street retailors and has also been engaged in Fashion direction, Design research & Sustainable design practices & manufacturing.
Her brand CODO has recently launched its first Bag collection.
Career history / Company history:
Apoorva studied her masters at the Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design, University of Arts London. Before setting up her own label CODO, she worked on Leather Accessories & Outerwear collections for clients like Zara, Massimo Dutti and Gstar amongst others from India. There she received insight into the workings of the manufacturing end of the fashion industry & its shortcomings, which motivated her start her own business which collaborates with its customers to create better fashion products & ethical supply chain.
Apoorva’s signature style will continue to evolve and grow with her own label CODO. As a young & conscientious fashion designer, she is seriously committed to bringing honest & modern design, creativity & awareness to her clients. She also provides her design expertise for specialized custom & be-spoke products for clients - her label CODO will launch such an online custom service in 2014 for bags.
CODO aims to provide full transparency in it manufacturing and sourcing and engage its clients in creating positive value with fashion. She believes fashion business & products can evolve rapidly in the next decade while meeting the demands of a rapidly evolving global customer & world.
