About me / About business or organisation:: I was born in Calcutta, India, and grew up in Pondicherry, South India. Pondicherry, as some of you know, is a melting pot of people, cultures and ideals, fuelled by a spiritual ambience.
Inspired by this rich environment and after a ten year sojourn in Italy, I started CAOS, Creative Art Of Souls, my own apparel company in Pondicherry..

Career history / Company history:: I set off to offer innovative concepts to combine lifestyle and values. I wanted to preserve traditions, protect precious techniques and maintain a high quality while supporting communities as well as environmental causes. I strived to maintain that balance together with Man and Nature where all resources are used in the best manner possible. In other words I felt that my company’s purpose was about doing the right thing at the right time.
CAOS Creative Art of Souls, thus started its operation in the year 2002 with two stitching machines, three employees and a big dream. Today, 7 years later, CAOS has grown into a mature company with over 100 machines and a staff of 130. And CAOS is now poised to double its manufacturing capacity which is planned during the third and last quarter of 2009.
In 2009 we launched our first signature store called Creart in Pondicherry. The ethos of Cre’art, an extended family of artistic individuals that get together to express their skills, thoughts, desires and experiences through their work in their own unique manner.
We embrace the idea that being environmentally caring doesn’t mean denying, abandoning or refusing the things we love, but rather designing, developing and using products in more informed, eco-friendly ways. Introducing the concept of the 3R's Reuse, Recycle and Reduce is the effort of Cre'art. To move towards the first ECOnsious Store in India.
