I am looking to discover or buy: Looking for buyers who are interested in an ethical fashion label with a difference.

About me / About business or organisation:: I have been a fashion buyer for nearly 7 years working for brands such as Warehouse,Oasis and Tesco. I also have worked as a designer for a clothing manufacturer to brands such as Zara, Lee Cooper amongst others.

I am currently working with my business partner and cousin Layla on launching Artizina- an ethical womenswear brand.

Layla and I have worked hard to turn our vision into a reality. We started our journey May 2008 researching the market and in September last year I designed the first collection and in January Layla and I spent over a week with the highly skilled Artizans in Morocco briefing them on every item within the collection. Each item is unique and is handmade by the artizans who are paid double the local minimum wage.

We also sell a beautiful range of vintage kaftans which are carefully selected by Layla and I, as well as this we offer a customised bespoke service for anyone that wants a personalised made to measure item.

I have become increasingly interested in ethical fashion and am concerned by the production ethics within the fashion industry. I want to be part of a CHANGE in fashion values, ethics and emerging brands that help the environment and change society for the better which has been a huge reason why we decided to launch an ethical fashion label.

Career history / Company history:: I have a BA in Fashion design with business studies, I have also worked and had experience in the fashion industry in a number of different roles including Buying,design,patterncutting,PR and marketing.
