My primary role in relation to fashion is:
Designer

New ideas, retailers and more info about ehthical fashion.
About me / About business or organisation:
I'm Aino and I live right in the heart of Helsinki. One of my passions is making new things out of old materials that no longer serve in their original purpose. Environmental matters are close to my heart.

I believe that using old materials is truly ecological. Tossed away in dusty corners they limp abandoned but with so much character and history. I want to create fresh and chic new ways to use them.

My style is both girly and feminine. At the moment I'm going thru a bright pastelhaze. Life is too short to wear black, at least all the time. Match styles and colors with hazardous abundance!
Career history / Company history:
I'm a dressmaker and a fashion designer by profession.

-Accessory coordinator for Zara, Helsinki
- Assistant for Designer at Roisih Dubh, New Zealand
- Seamstress for Limbo, Helsinki

Hello there,
I am a small manufacturer based in Kathmandu , Nepal. I work with hemp, nettle, bamboo, banana, cactus . Please have a look at www.heavenhemp.co.uk and see if we can connect in any way. The hemp cloth that is made in the mountains here is from wild plants and are hand drawn into yarns and then handwoven into cloth. Take care,
Udaya

Hi Aino, I have a cloth that might interest you. If you go to www.internationaltartans.co.uk you can see it and read about it in Finnish
