About me / About business or organisation:
Environmental fiber artist and writer, Abigail Doan, divides her time between NYC, Eastern Europe, and Italy. As an advocate for the advancement of sustainable fashion, she writes about eco-textiles, up-and-coming designer collections, and environmental issues.

Her work as a fiber artist offers a unique view into materials, methods, and the life cycle of contemporary fashion production. Abigail’s writings focus on the designer’s creative process, with behind-the-scenes investigations of crafting and sustainable methodologies, as well as reporting on critical developments in fair trade labor and ethical production.

Abigail’s artwork and writing has been featured in Surface Design Magazine, The New York Times, Hand/Eye, Green Guide for Artists, Craftivity, Knit Knit, and Marie-Claire, as well as in online publications such as Treehugger, The WILD Magazine, EcoSalon, Inhabitat, HipHonest, Modebewust, Goodlifer, Ecouterre, Supernaturale, Craftzine, and Two for Fashion – to name a few. Her fiber work has been shown internationally through the United Nation’s Environment Programme and in museum shows in Europe and the United States.
