Eloise Grey has sourced a new set of fabrics for her Garden Collection, more or less for a British Summer but equally suitable for other climates and other seasons. This collection is inspired by Vita Sackville-West, India, home-dressmaking and Persephone books.
The coat is made of rough artisan hemp canvas, woven in Romania, with a fine cut and construction which create a rustic elegance.
The Indian cotton floral is woven by hand and block-printed by hand using natural dyes.
The very fine linens used for the blouses, skirts and trousers (breeches) are sourced from a long established Belgian producer who source the flax locally and lay it in the dew of the fields to soften it (instead of using harsh chemicals). These linens are undyed natural colours; off-white and beige (flax).
