Good Clothes For Bad People is a collection of ethical fashion textiles produced from pre and post consumer waste focusing on reusing relatively small offcuts as well as the environmentally friendly dyeing and printing techniques. Its aims are to show innovation in the reclaimed textile field that would allow for reducing the use of virgin resources, discover such ways of producing eco textiles that could be scaled up and used in the industry and also to connect to the user‘s emotions by catering for their non-physical needs. The idea was inspired by my thesis research, which was the Slow Movement, theories on human needs and the analysis of user relationships with the material objects according to those needs. The collection is to appeal to the user through good design, personalisation and quality - not necessarily its ‘eco factor‘.
