business opportunities to help women micro entrepreneurs we work with in developing countries
About me / About business or organisation:
I run a nonprofit called Ubuntu at Work. Ubuntu at Work is a global social networking community that connects women micro entrepreneurs with volunteer coaches/collaborators around the world who offer them encouragement and support to develop sound business ideas, produce products for the global marketplace, market their products, funding assistance, and networking resources to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations. www.ubuntuatwork.org
Career history / Company history:
I began my career with a Ph.D in sociology as an academic. I studied women micro entrepreneurs in India, Egypt, South Africa, Nigeria, Indonesia, and Nepal as part of my research. Ubuntu at Work emerged out of my research findings.
