I started my journey in 1980’s at “Social Work and Research Centre Tilonia” an “NGO” also called as “Barefoot College” with zeal to work and devote myself to create living hood, educate unskilled workforces to make skilled employed workforces. I choose generation of handicraft production in 1995 because it entitled both social as well as entrepreneurial benefits.

For me history of India is told through its handicrafts which is influenced and coloured with the entire span of ancient and rich historical context. I continuously working to make sure fair pricing for rural artisan and export best textile offering to world.


PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE

1980 -1994 Coordinate SWRC, Tilonia - “An Non- Profit Organisation”
 Key role includes assistance to the artisan enterprises affiliated with Barefoot College,in Tilonia, Rajasthan, India

 Visiting different village around Ajmer region and Thar Desert of Barmer District to educated local people about new technology required for irrigation, solar plant projects, water conservation, building contraction, traditional craft and many more.


 Great experience being working 15 years with Mr. Bunker Roy and Mrs. Aruna Roy in Barefoot College, Tilonia

1995-Present Self Employed –Textile Business Entrepreneur
 Exporting handmade home textiles and apparels to world.

 Working in drought affected areas in desert with women artisans and generating employment to them.


 Every product deal has been made by handmade traditional craft application of appliqué, kantha and mirror embroidery which is a legacy heritage of Indian handicraft industry.

 Industrial relationship with domestic & international buyers' in textile business
 Experience of researching, developing and launching new offerings to customers within budget

 Work as motivator in the self-employed small scale organisation of 30-50 members


 Visiting major Indian and International trade fairs

 Working in tribal remote areas ( Barmer District) of desert and uplifting women artisan fair wages income of the vintage or traditional craft


 Channelizing income resources to door step

 Introducing world about Indian handmade traditional craft by selling products in retail chains in India, Europe and Canada, help generating income for more than 1000 rural artisan in 50 villages


 I sincerely thank Mr John Bissell for providing and giving chance to associate me with today’s Indian biggest textile retail chain name “Fabindia” founded in 1960. My wish to work with “ Fabindia” as vendor and generate employment to rural artisan by preventing legacy of Indian crafts to world
