Hi Moira,
Nice to hear about your passion in development issues and the path you have selected. I just landed this page from Linkedin group discussion about "Should Fairtrade International and FLO-Cert, promote and support the development of Fairtrade labelling systems in the developing countries?" which might be useful for you to follow.
I hope I can give you further help on your project. I am from Bulgaria where I spent over 30 years in the clothing industry, including 9 years NGO experience and I teach fashion marketing in Beijing, China now.
thqnk you Moira, let's keep in touch! If you come back to visit us let me know before so we can meet. you can also read a good article about L'HUB from international herald tribune, here is the link: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/08/10/fashion/10iht-FSEW.html?_r=1&...
ciao, have a nice day - barbara
Hi Moira. It´s nice to hear about you. About your comment of course i could do!!! I will be glad to work with this kind of projects. If you can tell more about it I can give some recomendation or something like that. My personal email: monicasadu@gmail.com.co
Hi Moira, I saw a comment you had left on Verena Oberraugh's profile page and having read it, I would really like to know more about what you are doing in Palestine. I am living in Palestine currently and trying to start a project with women here making items of night wear to supplement their household's income and provide a platform for social activity. I hope to include embroidery in the designs as a means of using/keeping indigenous alive. My background's NGO experience and a personal interest in sewing and embroidery. I'd really like to hear more about your ideas and activty- it would be interesting to chat! All the best, Lorna Watt
