I am looking to discover or buy
sponsors and places to show the fashionRIP Project, places to speak and information to spread about sustainable fashion and textiles
About me / About business or organisation:
I am a designer and entrepreneur, a writer and a video editor, a researcher and a dedicated follower of fashion.
I have worked in the private and non profit sectors.
Then I got into fashion redesign as a thing unto itself. I was appalled at waste, lousy textiles, fast fashion and shallow vision. I started doing my homework as well as my school work. I started the fashion ethos blog to support my classes in recycouture. The fashionRIP blog was started for a class at NSCC and the vision grew with feedback and support from other students and now it is a full blown production with a sustainable plan for its future. Amorphic and non linear, collaborative and relevant for its time; it is an experiment in change.
I have several degrees as I saw the connections and hated to stop at the planned boundaries because I didn’t want to miss something!

Hi Deborah, ABC Channel 7 are organising a unique international fashion show in San Francisco in February 2010 featuring outfits and accessories by fashion designers using my textiles. It is based around an entirely new concept in design, linking ethical and sustainable fashion with 'fair trade' . Filming begins in South Africa later this month.
