Ethical Fashion Socials

On the last Thursday of every month we would like the members of the network to get together and meet each other face to face, in a bar, in a coffee shop, in a pub, in a village hall or anywhere you can meet locally, put faces to names and have the opportunity to meet new people or spend time with old friends.

The first social took place on 24th of September in London, Nairobi, Bristol and New Delhi (with New York having their one a little late)

We are looking for hosts to help organise these events. If you know that you are not the only person interested in ethical fashion in your area and would like to be the coordinator of your event, download the hosting guide. You can e-mail amisha@ethicalfashionforum.com if you have any issues you need to discuss.

I have been asked that question too! I just explained that the difference between them is that many more considerations are made in the process of making ethical fashion products, by way of reducing waste, use of illegal furs and child labour and by increasing conditions for factory workers, artisans and homeworkers worldwide. Although it boils down to the ethics of the individual person to decide what they would class as ethical or unethical. Does that help you out at all?

have you ever wondered out of curiosity, how to explain to some one who doesnt understand fashion what the difference between fashion and ehtical fashion was? I got asked that question once and it was a bit tricky trying to explain it. How would you explain the difference?
