seeking designers for a Africa thered fashion show....london...october.....ARE YOU IN?

Hi All

Im working with a friend to organise a fashion show during Black History Month to showcase African designs and Afro-caribbean designers. This show is being funded with the help of Christian Aid and we are seeking great designers and designs with the Africa theme who will love to get involved with this project

Whether you love fashion & beauty or are passionate to spread the word about global development issues such as poverty, education and injustices, your voice and creativity will be a great contribution for this project.

* So do you like fashion? Would you like the opportunity to show off your designs and create your own clothing range?

* Are you an artist who puts a pencil to pad or paint to canvass and can really make an inspirational & expressive piece?

Dear Jaqueline,
My name is Kirstie `MacLean, I am the director of Mzuribeads. This is a business exporting recycled jewellery handmade by Community Art groups in Uganda. I have recently designed a new range of jewellery with the head of jewellery department at the Makere Art School, Kampala. This new range along with Mzuribeads jewellery has been very popular around the Uk. I would love the chance to exhibit my pieces on the catwalk. Furthermore, I have a some clothing designed by Ugandan designers, Sanna gateja, and Stella Atal, which i would love to display on behalf of the artists. Hello Jacqueline,

I work with African women, all of whom are based in Africa. I am happy to lend clothing and accessories for the show
which I have done for Elmbridge fashion show as well as Kingston College multi cultural fashion show.

The Ugandan designer I work, would I am sure welcome the opportunity to travel to the UK to show her work and in fact she left a couple weeks ago.

I would be interesting in taking up a stall should you decide to have them.
