What's your opinon: How would you make eco fashion desirable to the trend driven consumer?

Eco-mmerce is a research database set up challenge concepts and eventually evolve into a key online platform for eco fashion. Our current aim is to gather opinions about the stereotypes associated with ethical fashion.

So, in your opinion how would you make eco fashion desirable to the trend driven consumer?

In my oppion trends are dictated from a number of sources such as films, music, celebrtites also museum exhibits, colour trends and major events. also a lot of fashion is based on a cycle so to me using old vintage clothing and reworkking them slightly to fit into a modern setting is just how eco fashion can become acceptable to a trend driven consumer. also if you change the way celebreties, films ect and intergrate eco fashion into their clothing soon the consumers will follow.

 

there are so many different trends avaible today i guess its also up to the designer to make something that is unique to also stand out of the crowd. eco fashion is also another "trend" so as more follow, the more eco fashion products become avaible.

 

there are many different ways to approach this. this is only a small section that of the larger scale in my oppionioin.

Thank you for sharing your opinion Ceri, I totally agree, Trends are driven from so many aspects of life, The more eco fashion is integrated into our everyday lives or adopted by taste makers, then the desire for eco fashion will spread to the unconverted. 

It is an exciting movement to be a part of, as consumer attitudes are forever changing and aim to support a more positive future.

     Since some 3 centuries  we are neglecting  the central roll given earlier by our ancestors to innate creativity . All the teachers who are teaching art in schools and colleges for fashion  and style should not be there doing it .Celebrities and  rich are innocents they know nothing about fiber or fabric' colors . The designers befool them telling it is true and real. It is all okay in the evil rich millennium we have just  left.Let us learn ourselves in direct contact with nature. 

   What we have to fight is the human eye ball is brain washed  chemically  all these days need to be urgently  resolved . Real fibers  natural binder based  herbal dyed bio-medicine rich clothes must be pushed to the front.Though ordinary need be celebrated in fashion shows . Slow fashion - virtue based fashion is okay. Comfort  is style not one size  for all body shape .Thus fashion and style is what we make in time , space and energy .

   Unless other wise the illusion  people are loaded with is  tamed  it is difficult to do it .But there is hope that  we can do many alterations to things  that can not be continued in  3nd millennium even if one wants it so . It is Green Age , Organic Era , and our days are furugal in spending .

    These are challenges  that time has brought to us to solve . If innate creativity adaption comes in  changes can be brought in . Yes we cannot do it all  at once , let it take its time . If bio medicine  from herb takes longer let it be if it cures. .   Our non printed currency is Time , Space and  Energy . We have to make them to real asset, let us be not depend on printed money and its junk economy  to take another mad run on inventions . Twitter and face-book is what content makes not connection make it . It can not bring revolution in economy  with out the real content  in the participant . Our energy goes waste  in digging the mantel of earth , it is only external digging and exploiting earth that leads long term danger.

   Entire third world nations rural culture has inherited  skill , talents and wisdom in cottage crafts products the textile .

   Man kind has much to receive if only he knows how and what to receive from nature . Our past was with errors , failings and mistakes . Our present is vital , it must be organic natural dyed in fabrics , for our future is important  from what we do at present .Inward exploitation of nature is  inner eco system and aligning it to  outer eco system , it was done already as sample for us by our ancestors .
