The opportunity to learn from universities technical knowledge and skills about design, sourcing and trends can be a valuable opportunity for small groups of textile and clothing producers around the world. Similarly university students can gain experience in industry, opportunities to build their creativity and skills and an understanding of the reality facing producers.

However, there are many challenges for collaboration to be successful for both parties.

Do you have experience of working with community producers around the world? Do you want to share your good practice? Are you a producer looking for teachnical support or a university looking for a community group to work with? Please share your views.
