Study of Ethical Fashion, Celebrities and Social Status - Help Needed!

Hi all

I've just become a member of the Ethical Fashion Forum. I am a Fashion Journalism student with a strong interest on the social impact fashion can have and as a result I have been involved with the Conscious Designers Collective (www.consciousdesigners.co.uk) for over a year now.

Following the recent news that Emma Watson is collaborating with People Tree for a range aimed at under-24's, I have decided to base one of my important units on celebritie's impact on the world of ethical fashion. While celebrity influence is no bad thing to have - it makes ethical fashion more available to mainstream fashionistas - I would love your opinions on whether you think young people will wear ethical fashion because they understand how they can help make the world of fashion fairer or just because a celebrity is promoting it. Any other information is also greatly appreciated!
