First chance to see the work of the MA Textile Design students at Chelsea College of Art and Design as they share their individual stories and backgrounds conceptualized during the course. View their work and speak to the next generation of designers at a private viewing (on May 27th 5:00 to 8:30 pm) for the industry and press.
The 25 students will be showcasing a preview of their research areas in textiles, reflecting the interests and backgrounds of each individual. On display will be a broad mixture of products and concepts ranging from sustainable and ethical fashion and interior textiles, to conceptual artwork and technology applications. The students on the course come from all over the globe and bring with them individual attitudes, techniques, and aesthetics to the show, and to their industry.
Sustainability in textiles is also a core issue within the work of several of the students. These students are ahead of the curve on the current changes within the markets and their visions of sustainable textile interiors and fashion design will be on display.
Entry to the show is free.
Please contact Ryan Wayne (r.wayne1@chelsea.arts.ac.uk) if you wish to attend the private view.
