Open table discussion on the next generation of sustainability & design - the Sri Lankan perspective
As an emerging economy that has taken the lead on green initiatives, Sri Lanka has a lot to share with the world. This south Asian island nation has proven ethical and sustainable models from its premier fashion manufacturing and design education to tourism and development. With new commercial and socioeconomic opportunities unfolding and sustainability viewed as mission critical, more local industries embrace design as essential for future progress. With a case study on the AOD design campus, Sri Lanka design festival and the design for sustainable development foundation that are dedicated to nurturing young talent to design a sustainable future.
