The London Sections of The Textile Institute and The Society of Dyers & Colourists are hosting a seminar on
'Future Fibres, Fabrics & Finishes'
to be held on the morning of Friday 12th April 2013
at London College of Fashion.
This is an opportunity for a glimpse at the 'Future Fibres, Fabrics & Finishes' and to hear and see first hand about the research and development currently happening in the textile industry.
Speakers will include:-
David Lussey of Peratech, who recently received a Queen's award, and will speak on Smart textiles, wearable electronics and touch technology
John Murphy of Huntsman who are working with Dyecoo on waterless dying. They will also talk on new approaches to cellulosic dyeing and finishing, such as stormwear.
Cheryl Kindness of Camira Fabrics who will present new developments in bast fibres, new closed loop polyester products and work with Beyond Surface Technology on soil resist finishes.
