Sital Punja - Toumazi & Co
Emily Pearce - Ethical Fashion Forum
Ethical Fashion Forum partner with Toumazi & Co, one of the UK's first CMT units committing to achieving sustainability.
An unmissable chance to see an interview with Sital Punja and Ethical Fashion Consultancy director and supply chain expert Clare Lissaman, filmed at December's launch of Excellence in Ethical Fashion. At Toumazi & Co, their highly experienced team offer a full service from pattern making to standard cut, make and trim. They pride ourselves on their efficiency, customer service and above all, quality.
Sital Punja, a designer and the founder, ran her own award winning ethical fashion label "Sari UK Limited" and is now dedicated to manufacturing with sustainable values. Sital is a founder member of the EFF and passionate about the potential of sustainability for the UK manufacturers. Here at EFF we receive hundreds of requests for information per month, and during 2010 saw a rapid increase in those relating to producing in the UK. As highlighted in a recent Dispatches, producing in the UK is by no means a guarantee on ethical or environmentally sound practices.
We invite all those producing, interested in producing, or supplying in the UK to join us in a conversation on the nature of the UK manufacture industry, how we can improve the sector and greater increase awareness and adoption of sustainable practices in the UK.
If you are interested in being involved at this event or for further information please contact Emily at marketing@ethicalfashionforum.com
To start the conversation we welcome all to share their views in our online survey. Please click here to take part. The results of this survey will be used to inform on-going research conducted at the EFF, to inform best practise in the sector.
