Event Description

Next Tuesday NGWF, War on Want and The Rainbow Collective are hosting an event debating the challenges of current supply chains in Bangladesh. The discussion panel will be chaired by Mrs Naema Quayes, with representatives from Ethical Fashion Forum and London College of Fashion.

In light of the recent Rana Plaza disaster, the event will focus on how fashion can be manufactured in Bangladesh sustainably. How can ethical supply chains be applied to this developing sector in Bangladesh, while they continue to support UK designers and retailers? And how can Bangladesh become a destination for sourcing ethical and sustainable products for the global market?

The event will also see a screening of 'The Machinists' documentary, following the lives of garment workers in Dhaka, with live music to follow.

All funds raised from the night will go to the families of garment workers that lost their lives in the Rana Plaza factory collapse.
